Hi again, I now have a 60's collaro changer that has 3 wires coming off of it, (red, yellow, and black).
My 56 collaro changer has 2 wires and it was easy to figure out how to plug it in to the 120 receptacle.
Which of the 2 wires on the 60's unit gets plugged in to the outlet.
I had the yellow and red plugged in and the motor ran even with the switch off. I tried plugging in the yellow and black and nearly fried the switch.

Disregard my post above. I found out the problem. Thanks.
PS the red and black wires get plugged in. The yellow wire was used for an amp. When the last record finished, the amp would shut-down also.

Best to get a multimeter and stop trying to burn the house down.
