hi i'm new to the site and have a problem with the computer out of my ami r-90 jukebox.the computer number is 4-07773-05.i put another computer in and it now has sound.does anyone know what would be the problem or to tell me what to replace in the computer to make it have sound?

Too vague to even an experienced tech to say, over the internet.
In the old days things were taken to a tech to diagnose - with the unit in front of him, with all his tools and equipment.

Seriously, with hundreds of parts on a circuit board, how can anyone give an answer over a screen?

sorry figured this may have been seen in the past by someone.thought maybe it might be in the mute circuit or something simple.it's somewhere in the computer for sure.does anyone out there do computer repairs or know where i can send it off to for repair?i'm borrowing a friends computer for now.i just need to get mine fixed so i can get his back to him.

Welcome to the forum.

There could be an issue in the mute circuit that goes to pin 17 on socket P6 on the CCC. this line goes through two transistors Q6 & Q7 (a darlington).

If the fault is not down to these two transistors then it may be Z10 which is a MOS 6250 PIA.

Thanks Alan checked Q7 and it was shorted emitter to collector. I will get a replacement transistor and see if that fixes it. Thanks again for the help.

Just updating that q7 did fix the sound issue. Thanks again for the help.
