I have a Pioneer PL-L30 turntable and wanted to know if the "vasoline" stuff thats under the sliding arm should be there or not. My turntable was skipping the in the same spots no matter the record played. So, when I discovered the goop under the arm, I cleaned it off. I guess that was a mistake because it then started skipping more often.
What type of lubrication do I need there? Where can I find some?
Thanks,
Martin Livingston
