wurlitzer 2504 won't select

Hello everyone, new guy here. This is my second juke box. I also have a Rock-ola 404 that works great. I bought this wurlizer 1961, 2504 juke from a guy who had started to disassemble some of it to paint it. I have put most of it back together. I have the manual and have been using it to make adjustments.
The probem is the selector unit and crank arm seem to be dead, I can push the cancel button and it will go through the reset and come to the home position as best as I can tell. When I make a selection the letter and number keys activate, but then notheing happens. Even if I pop a pin manualy nothing happens. I have checked all the fuses for size and they all check good. Also the turntable turns all the time when I turn it on. ( I don't think it should)
I have cleaned and checked all the items the manual says for this problem. How can I track down the chain of command as it is suppose to happen and find the fault? It appears I have commumication with the playrack, but then nothing. Should it not come on and search for the poped pin when I trigger one of them? Any help would be great. I love the looks a style of this juke box and would like to get it going. It is in pretty good looking condition.
Thanks,
Vic
