Wurlitzer 1015 OMT Black Onyx Finish Cleaning and Polishing

Does anybody know what can I safely use besides a little dish detergent and some water to safely clean and polish a Wurlitzer 1015 OMT with the Black Onyx finish?

I have been told to stay away from Windex that has amonia in it.

Fingerprints are a nightmare on this machine...

What type of rags are safe to use without creating additional scratches?

Is there anything that can be safely used to get a few of the minor scratches out?

Is this "Black Onyx" material a Laquore that is applies over the wood or is it some type of Polymer Plastic laminate?

As always, any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jeff P.

Jeff,
IMHO, all finishes used by "WurliTzer GMBH", were pretty easy to scratch, or, in the case of the plastic "Chrome"--real easy to remove--A damp cloth, with a SMALL amount of a mild, non-ammonia cleaner, followed with a rinse, is all I'd suggest----Ron Rich

So... True Ron, I'm pretty sure you could scratch this finish with a Bounty Brand Paper Towel...

Hey Ron
Thats an idea.... we have always been a Scott Tissue family... But I am not opposed to trying Charmin LOL
I also am hearing that Novus 1is good for cleaning and polishing and Novus 2 is good for light scratches.
