The problem if the pickup setting down into music on some records while dropping off the edge of other records has three causes:

1. The record companies can't agree where to start the music.

2. Some 12" records (especially RCA Dynaflex) have a raised rim that the stylus slides down a slope on one side or the other.

3. Different companies use slightly different outside diameters.

I just got three new 12" records with center holes too small to fit the Collaro Conquest spindle. I had to carefully use a reamer and a vacuum cleaner to enlarge the holes.
