SOT-question

Hi All,
This is "sorta" off topic", (SOT?), but I hope someone has an answer--
So, I'm sitting here building the new Seeburg SMC, MCU, and I find that after "stuffing" the bare boards, and soldering the leads, when I go to cut them off, ALL of my wire cutters (aka "side cutters") have become magnetized ! This creates one royal PIA, as all the leads attach themselves to the cutters, making it near impossible to see what I'm doing.
I have tried everything I can think of to de-gouse the cutters, including my CRT de-grouser.
Any ideas ?? TIA, Ron Rich

Try a tape head demagnetizer or a bulk eraser.

If you have a pistol type soldering gun. I can't remember which way is which. Pull the trigger on the gun, insert the pliers between the leads and release the trigger. If this does not work, insert the pliers between the leads, pull the trigger and remove the pliers from the soldering iron with it on. We used to use this method on pinball parts.

Thanks guys--I wound up beating on the dykes---Set them against an anvil, and gave them a"pop" with a hammer--worked well--
