did someone have some pictures of the model 103 ? So I can be sure that the mine is a real one. All other informations are welcome (date, price, manual, ...)

I have also a broken spring for this gramophone, is there a way to find a new one?

There's a rather beaten up looking one on eBay right now.

These were first produced in late 1925/early 1926, and were designed to play the newly introduced electrical recordings with greater fidelity than the older Gramophone models.

They are equipped with a long, thin, gradually tapering "swan-neck" style tone arm, coupled to a #4 sound box (reproducer). The horn, itself, is sort of S-shaped and made mostly out of metal, but equipped with louvered slats at the mouth.

In good operating condition, with a rebuilt sound box, they pump out quite a bit of volume.

Heres an Australian ad from 1928 for the 103. If it doesn't have a decal or celluloid disc on the motor board, which say's 103, you can sometimes fine the model number by taking the motor board out, and it might be pressed into the timber which forms the top front section of the horn.

I'm missing the doors from my HMV Model 103 if anyone has available?

I also have one HMV model 103, from 1926., that I found in grandma's house, but mechanism is all disjointed - paddle wheels are separated and just lie down in box. I'm not sure are they all here or maybe some of them are missing. Does anyone have the original scheme of this model's mechanism? I don't want to improvise, although it's not a complicated mechanism - I just want to make it as original.
