GE RC4890

Hello!

I am new here, and I'd like to know if anyone has any information on a recent acquisition of mine. I bought an old GE RC4890 (aka. "The Larchmont") and I'm having a hard time finding information on it. The phonograph itself folds up to look like a 3-drawer cabinet and is in need of some repairs. I am unable to find any diagrams or wiring schematics anywhere, though, I do have all of the original paperwork. I have attached a picture of the console and, as you can see, it is in need of some other repairs as well. I've been told that I can modify the unit by installing a newer phonograph, but I'd like to keep the old "vintage" look.

Does anyone have any experience with this particular unit? I assume that it is a low-end model, but a lack of any good information is simply insane!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
