Rockola 440

Hi there, I just came across this forum while researching this Rockola 440 that I just purchased. So needless to say this is my first post here.
I have been able to trace a couple problems in this machine and was hopeing one of you could answer a couple questions for me.
I have found that one Hammer coil is bad so I can only play the b-side of the records. If I can find a new coil I can easily replace that.
My main problem is that the gripper motor doesn't want to move the arm to grab the record. I can manually twist the knurled knob on the bottom and turn it untill the cycle completes and it will play the record and everything fine. I then have to manually turn the knob to replace the record back in the carousel. If I put some vertical pressure on the knob I turn I can feel it trying to grab. To me it seams like there is possibly a damaged gear inside possibly but am not sure if that is actually the problem or if so whether it can be rebuilt or needs replacement and again if so where I would find parts for this type of machine.
I would highly appreciate any input.
Thanks

I live in Placerville California.
I know I need the hammer coil, but does the gripper moter need to be replaced or is there somekind of adjustment I can do.
Thanks for the response.

Motors usually seize up after the lube dries up, instead of burning out.

Disconnect the motor from its wiring (note polarity) and test it for continuity with an ohmmeter. If it is burned out, it will be open.

Then overhaul the motor bearings, replacing the spent lube with fresh.

Ok so I was able to fix the gripper motor. It was extremely dirty and gooey inside and the brushes were stuck.
The problem I'm having now is that some selections come up no problem but for most selections the write arm just spins. Sometimes the arm stops and the credit clicks off but the hammer coil doesn't activate or sometimes it does strike but it doesn't move the selector switch enough. I've tried to adjust the arms and I've cleaned the contacts on the carriage but that didn't seam to help much. Read-out side seams to be working fine besides the one hammer coil being burnt out. I'm trying to find a replacement for that.
Sorry for the long post.
Any more suggestions??
Thanks
