Literature for Silvertone 8069 console

by Maggiefan » Sat Oct 12, 2013 3:12 am

Hello all,

I've been browsing the forum for a while and finally decided to join. I'm looking for some info on a console that I recently acquired from the original owner. According to him it was made in 1969. The unit was sitting in his chicken house since 1993. It is in pretty bad shape both cosmetically and functionally. I'm trying to gather all of the info I can on this unit as there are no repair shops anywhere near I live. I've searched the web for photofacts, owners manuals and schematics to no avail. I do know that the components were built by Warwick electronics based on the 528 prefixes. I also know that Silvertone recycled model #'s over the years and that I keep finding photofact's for the 8086 built in the early 50's. I am guessing that Silvertone made similar models 1967-1969. It has a record changer with a square arm that goes over the spindle and a stroboscope. The am/fm tuner has color indicators for bass/treble, balance and loudness. I've been in the electronics industry for many year so, repairs are not a problem. I just like to have the info in front of me beforehand. Thanks guys
