Hello All!
I am brand new to vintage stereo ownership. I just got a magnavox cabinet stereo for a wedding gift. I asked for one because my parents had one while I was growing up. What I would like to know is if someone can tell me what the model of it is, and also if there is a way to use the RCA's on the back to be able to listen to an ipod. Any help would be AWESOME! I love it. and want to know all that I can about it, I got very lucky in the fact that it is the exact same model I grew up with.

The model number is located on the rear, eaither on a paper label, or stamped on the cabinet.
It would look like a 1STxxx or 2STxxx number.
Judging from the components, it's an early 70's unit, solid state. (trademarked "Astrosonic")
That said, in order to prolong it's useful life, it's always good to have the unit serviced and upgraded to prevent issues due to aged parts.
The rear input RCA jacks are used in the "tape" or "aux" positions of the selector knob.
In some models, the record storage compartment housed an optional tape recorder, and a round hole is in there for the cable to run through.
any suitable adapter cable can be used - gotten from a radio shack or whatever.

Thank you for the reply! I am looking right now for a tech in my area, I am already having an issue with the sound only playing on one side when playing a record. Again, thank you for the info.
