Can anyone tell me how to remove the spindle on a G.E. Trimline 500?

Is it bent? Defective?
Photos of the changer do help.

It is not defective. I wanted to lubricate and clean the changer mechanism but do not know how to get it removed from the player to get to the underside. Also i can't find the model number anywhere. Is it just Trimline 500?

I'm confused.
Are you talking about the actual rotating PLATTER aka TURNTABLE of the changer?
The "spindle" is the vertical rod that supports/centers the record itself - that doesn't need to be removed.

The platter is retained by a small removable clip or "o" ring at the base of the spindle.
