Rock-Ola 441 Part Numbers - Help

by markymarkuk » Wed Oct 23, 2013 11:31 pm

Hi
I ordered the complete package of Service Guide and Parts Manual for my 441 Rock-ola. However, before it arrives I need to locate and cost some spares, unfortunately most suppliers require the part number!!!
Not sure if anyone reading this has a parts manual for this range of Rock-Ola models (its a 1969 Deluxe model), if I describe the spares maybe you could look up the part number for me. Really would appreciate it.

On the Write In wiper arm it has two hammer solenoids on the end. One of mine is missing, need part number for this coil. I believe the wobble plate has a solenoid by the microswitch, number for solenoid. Gripper and Magazine motors, and finally the 2 gear wheels that fit to the gripper mechanism (I think these are, 34312-1 and 36308-1A) is this correct.

Any help on part numbers or where I can find out before my book arrives from Victory Glass. Many thanks

Hello! I don't have the 441, but I do have both the 440 and the 442. The mechanisms are the same. The hammer coils are identical on these, as well as my 460 and 474. The 442 parts book lists them as 34557-1, carriage coil. Same with the wobble plate solenoid, PN 34556-1. The 442 catalog lists the gripper motor as 45715 A and the magazine motor as 45720 A. I have replaced these with motors for the 460 / 474 but the connectors have to be changed. With the exception of the plugs on the motors needing to be swapped in some cases, I have found all these parts to be interchangeable and readily available on Ebay, if you don't mind the very real possibility of buying stuff that may or may not work (sometimes lucky, sometimes not). You have the correct part numbers for the gears. Best of luck to you. There's nothing quite like bringing one of these jewels back to life!

Many Thanks Patrick for that very useful info. This is my first venture into Jukeboxes. The mechanical parts are easy to understand as I've been restoring vintage one arm bandits for 30 years, but what scares me are those thousands of wires, looms, relays, switches and worst of all.... Mains Electricity!!! lol
Lets hope I get through this rebuild alive!!! I've stripped the whole machine, now waiting for the manuals to arrive and start the rebuild.

Thanks again for the information, much appreciated

Hello Mark,

Welcome to the forum.
I deal with Rowe Ami jukeboxes but we have at least one other enthusiast from the UK who you may be able to swap notes with, he has a 442 or 443.

I suggest that you read the manual fully when it arrives before you start looking at or working on the jukebox.

I would be inclined to join the British Jukebox Owners forum on Yahoo as well.

Regards
Alan
