Hi.
I don't know anything about electric radiograms of the 60's & 70's- especially american models, but are these things worth anything like the asking price? It seems an awful lot when you can get an antique edison or victor for half the price.
I realise being a "Custom" model, it may be considered rare, and that some turntables like a Garrard 301 can cost a fortune, but is there anything special about this particular model? Am I missing something? Similar 'looking' models over here sell for about $25 on ebay.

Well, It does say in the description that this unit was owned by Sammy Davis Jr. It does resemble some Zeniths consoles I have seen on eBay.

It does appear to just have the run of the mill Magnavox guts and I'd say that that if there was no proof that Sammy owned it, the value could be considerably less

The Magnavox units are usually worth more than similar-sized units made by other companies, but not that much.

The Collaro record changers are hard to break, and the amplifiers and speakers are usually much better.

Yep, I think the only thing special about this is the cabinet. It's got the 620 series Micromatic, the Rxx-x-xx tuner with Timbre control, and probably a separate A575-xx-xx amplifier, all Solid-State, I don't know the exact numbers. I would probably pay between 50-100 bucks for it if I had room. Just my two cents. I have too many other consoles just as nice as this particular unit.
