rockola 434 ballast

Does anybody know how to get to the ballast for the top light on a 434

You can always do it the "Tim Allen Way"--"MorePower"--use a "Sawz All" ! Aside from that brilliant

suggestion, look for a hidden catch. Look in the parts book, it may show it----I am not sure if RockOla copied Seeburg, in printing an "Information and Operation Manual" for each model, but, if so, it should show it ! Ron Rich

If its any help the ballast for the upper light on the 434 i have is located on left side above coin mechanism and in front of the power supply

This one is on the back panel, I can see it but can't figure out how to get to it

You may need to ljust leave the old one there as they may have installed it in a partly built cabinet ?
If so, you will need to cut and extend the wires to an easier location for the ballast to be mounted. BE SURE to mount the new one, as per makers specs--especially if mounting on the wood ! Remember they run hot, and I have seen that start fires --Ron Rich

Ron I ordered a manual for it, but I think you are right. I will have to take it apart or mount the new ballast someplace else
