I see you don't have your Archives anymore. It had a couple of postings (http://www.phonoland.com/archives/mboar ... 6922.shtml and msg_0000016956.shtml) which i was wanting to read as they refer to the RCA Model 6-EY-3A 45 record player. I am in the process of converting my tapes and records to digital and I was thinking about using my old record player for the purpose of recording my 45s to digital (since I read that the length and angle of the tone arm on my stereo turntable is wrong for the 45s). Of course I would have to rig up line outs somehow as they are not present on the 6-EY-3A, I probably need a new stylus, and perhaps other problems. Is this just a really bad idea? How would I go about solving the line out problem? (I have beginning level electrical skills).

Your 6-EY-3A would exhibit rumble as compared to your turntable set up. I only use my 45 players to play, not to record. When recording I use my Technics or Sansui with a Staton 600 and a 2.5 X 7 stylus or a Shure M97xE with great results.
