I'm a Newbie, so be patient with me.

Just got a wall mount seeburg 3w1 and i have got the transformer and powered up the unit. Here comes the problem, nothing happens.
So i started testing leads and what not and when i hit one of the parts of the board behind the selection buttons and grounded it to the frame
it light up and will run when i put change into it. Any ideas? I'm assuming its a grounding issue? I'm going to put the cdadaptor.com mp3 player on it to run
tunes..

You are going to need to "splain yourself" a little better---
And I would advise you not to be "grounding things" unless you understand the circuits.
I assume that you have the 25v transformer connected to the "green" and "orange" terminal screws.
I wonder if you have any lamps lit when powered up ? Do you have the correct lamps installed, are they good ?
When you say it "light up", WHAT lit up--the general illumination, or the "select lamp" ?
Did you remember that this unit requires a coin to function ? If so, did you try a coin, and what were the results ?
Answer the above and I can most likely tell you what, if anything, is wrong.

Thanks for your help. I had the dang thing wired backward. I apologize for taking up your time.

I have it functioning now. coin drop works selection light comes on.

Now im going to try and add this ipod adapter to it and get it to work that way. Hopefully all will go well..

No Problem -- Glad you "got it"--Suggest that you oil it, using only a SAE 20wt. ND oil--

Don't quite understand what you are attempting to do--but that is the mate that was used to connect the 3W1 to the jukebox--

Thats what i was wanting to know. I'm going to house the cdadapter.com's ipod to jukebox adapter, transformer and all the wires in a Box away from the 3w1 so its cleaner looking. going to use the existing wire to attach it to the box I'm going to house everything in.. does that make since?

Makes sense -- but not what I'd do--you can use any plug, or hard-wire it inside the box--
