Electrohome dome record player

Hello all was after a bit of advice please and this forum seems like the right place to start... I picked up about four years ago this dome record player from a house clearance when I used to be an estate agent, the story I believe was that the lady that owned it before she passsed away was from canada and this player was imported to the uk and power suply changed. It looks great and was wondering if I should sell it or keep it I like the mrs on the other hand has a difrent opinion of it ;0)
The condition seems to be very good it has a minor scratch on the metal record deck at the front, and some paint flicks on the speakers (my fault while decorating) although white spirit should clear that up. The player sits on a mushroom style metal stand and is encased in a smoked dome, the speakers are black and round with a chrome base cup which supports them, it works great although sometimes the records seem to play a bit quick. I think its a stunning piece of design however this is not my field and any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance
will

Hi,
Could you post some photos of it? I am pretty sure I know which model this is.
It has a base like Eero Saarinens tulip chair series.
That was a much copied style in the 60's and 70's.
Are the speakers ball shaped?

These Electrohome systems are quite popular with people into space-age modern furniture design and sell for high prices on Ebay despite the fact that the electronics are fairly low-quality. The BSR mini-changers normally do run about 5% fast and you may experience deteriorated foam surrounds on the speakers. Electrohome made several models with the domes, pedestals and round black speakers, but the model you have is a very popular and desirable one. I have a similar one which has a radio tuner and 8-track player and uses the same speakers with different bases.
