Seeburg SE100 - SAM-1 - Volume Control - HELP

by plansch » Tue Mar 23, 2010 2:07 pm

Hello,
I have a problem with a friends Seeburg SE100. He told me about very bad sound and pointed the volume control box out to course the problem. The cable between the plug and the pot was very shabby and if you touched the cable the sound gets better or even more bad.
I told him that I can replace the cable.... and know the bad sound has gone, but unfortunately now there is no sound at all. :?
I'm sure to have replaced the wires (five at all) correctly, but can't check it, because i have no manual oder schematics for this jukebox.
Can anyone help? Perhaps someone here who was a manual or can tell me which pin of the plug has to be connected to which pin of the pot?

Thanks in advance...

Plansch,

Seems to me that investing in a manual would not be a waste of money. Also have you cleaned the pot? Allot of noise can be from a dirty pot. Use a good contact cleaner and try again.
