For Ron Rich - Question on 1954 Seeburg HF100-R Glass Panel

Hi Ron,

Got your name on a search for Seeburg jukebox experts..!! We recently purchased a 1954 Seeburg HF100-R at an estate sale just a few doors down (caution: NEVER go to such a near auction, unless you want to fill up your garage with stuff from their garage..!!) Anyway, the jukebox is in excellent condition, with the exception of one of the lower vertical translucent glass panels in the front. We've obtained a replacement, but are looking for recommendations on how to easily R&R the panel without disassembling the whole unit from the back. Any comments would be appreciated.

Thx in advance, Mike C.

Hi Mike,
There are probably other guys on this forum that can answer this better then me, and I hope they chime in, as I don't "normally do" cosmetic work! I have, however done a few of these, and it depends, IMHO, on which one of the 5 needs to be changed--I have done them all "from the front"--just start "unscrewing things", keeping track of which (length/type) screw goes where --Ron Rich

I am refurbing a hf100r now myself. You need to first remove the selection key pad. Unscrew the selector mechanism and then you need to remove the front chrome header. There is no other way to add a new piece of glass, been down this road before, there is no short cut for this.

Question, where did you get the replacement?
Which piece is missing, left or right side or middle panel? The reason i ask is that the panels are different on left than right and the center panel could be either.
