Wurlitzer 7500 lid wont stay open

Does anybody know if the spring lid hinges for the 7500 are still availible or another fix to keep the lid open? thanks Norman

I don't know about availability, but back in the day we always kept a few sawed off pool cue sticks handy to use as jukebox lid holders. Sometimes we used sawed off broom handles.

Hi -guy,
I don't recall if it was the WurliTzer, or RockOla, "console" style machines -- but one of them used an "adjustable" spring hinge--look at the bottom of the hinge for a "screw head" --Ron Rich

Thanks Ron but the adjustmant is already maxed out.I think the spring is just weak from age. Was hoping to hear what the Operators did to keep these units servicable. I tried Googling furniture lid hinges and all the units I see are intended to be on the inside of the cabinet not outside. Again thanks. Norman

If it's the one I remember--remove it and stretch the spring--or replace the spring ---
