Rock ola motor grommets

by ds100h » Thu Nov 07, 2013 9:59 pm

I know I read something about only using the white grommets. However all the vendors carry are the black ones. So, where does one get the white ones, or do I just go with the black ones?

As long as they are specifically listed as suitable (like these in the UK)

I'd not bother about the colour, I changed mine for these a few years ago and "they'll see me out!"

Guys
I have never seen these in any color but white, that will do the job, CORRECTLY, in a RO !
I have them in stock, as do other "ligit" suppliers listed above ( that's where I get them).

Ron

I talked with Denny at Victory Glass and Patrick at A1Jukebox and neither one had them.

So, I did order 3 of the black, will let you know if they work or if I need to buy somme from you.

Thanks for input.

When I purchased my 425 about 40 or so years ago, it had been shopped and has always had black grommets. Shame on me but they are still in there and it still plays records (both speeds)

I bought several from Antique Electronic Supply. They are black, but they are the right size, shape, and consistency. And inexpensive. Works fine on all my Rockolas.

Guys,
Perhaps the "new" black type will work--just been my experience, that EVERY time black ones are used, I hear motor noise--worse at records end--Went on a Service call yesterday--had black ones installed, and I knew so, as needle landed (and my ears "ain't so good--no more" !)--changed them to white and customer was "shocked" at the difference. ( He was a "kid"--never heard a 45 played on any other equipment--thought the "noise" was "normal for records")
