I am going to look at my first jukebox tomorrow. The description of it is as follows...
This is what was said in the ad. Do any of these issues seem to be a major problem? Some of what he was saying didn't make sense. Also, the pics look very good, cabinet looks perfect. I think I can pick this up for $200 with records. What do you guys think? Also, I am pretty handy and know my way around a soldering iron, so I am not afraid to get my hands dirty.
Very good Seeburg STD3. Serial number 627988. I cannot recall the year this was made but if you are a Seeburg guy or gal you know anyway. Was working well in October except for sound varying in volume on its own. It has been shut off since then until today. Power comes on with amplifier hum which fades from loud to normal which was quite bothersome but the select function now does not reset so sound is not a problem. The mechanisim will cycle when that is selected at the override panel inside but no joy otherwise. All records are with it from its last actual commercial use in early 80's and it has always lived inside so no ugly cabinet suprises. Coin mechanism when last tried did not work. Clean and complete without cigarette smoke residue or drink slops. No known cracks in the plastic panels or severe damage elsewhere. . A few of the twinkle lights are burned out but twinkle it did. It is located about fifty feet from where it was placed when new and has not been molested all these years.
