Does anyone happen to know the year of a Motorola stereophonic record player model # SP26-A or SP26-B?

Thanks!

Thank you for the year. Do you happen to have any other info. on the model? Like what colors they made it in? I don't understand because the booklet that came with the player says "A" series but on the unit itself, it says "B".

Thanks

While I can appreciate a desire to learn more about old sets sometimes there just ain't no data freely available. You might eventually locate a sales brochure or something of that nature. But I have to ask my stupid question...what difference does it make if you don't ever find an answer? There's a possibility of different cabinet styles, colors, or production data. Just a revision as stated. The lack of information does not indicate rarity. I can only tell you more by looking at the service data I have and there could have been releases of information after mine. You set is a 4-tube Stereo Phono Amplifier with 4 Speed Record changer. Rather run-of-the-mill amplifier. The record changer is a VM 54RC. The cabinet would be of good construction as I know of Motorola. You should post pictures of your set on this site and other free photo hosting sites. Who knows maybe someone will then identify your set as being similiar, etc, etc.
