AMI Rowe Encore CD100 CCC question

by Centaur » Tue Mar 06, 2012 6:41 am

The coin and bill inputs are not registering on my Encore CD100 juke. When I opened the CCC (PN# 40832220) I traced the P9 header pins 5 & 6 (the inputs for bill and coin via pulse method) and they head directly to a 16 pin socket (after each going through a diode and resister and then a shared cap).... this socket is empty and I assume this is my issue.... anone have schematics or the same CCC that they could help out by identifying the IC that should be in the U1 socket?

I was told by a juke guy this socket is supposed to be empty, but after tracing the pulse input pin(s) I think that information was false.

Whomever told you that is correct--U-1 is not used--
First thing I would try is a total re-boot--

Ron is correct... then re-program everything per that jukebox's manual settings. If it has a Mars acceptor, it uses the 50 cent setting as the input.

John, and all,
When they began supplying the harness for the "MEi" (Mars), the dollar input was parallel-ed to the quarter input. This cause problems, if/when, a quarter stuck on the coin switch. Later harnesses, connected to the half-dollar input, which they changed in the main chip, to default on a dollar. I think that was about V 3.6---
and the MEi was set to output one (rather than 4) pulse per dollar. Ron Rich
