Hi guys i recently purchased a Rowe R-86
When I turn on the jukebox, the Transfer Motor starts immediately.
The gripper takes a record from the magazine and put it on the turntable (that doesn't start to turn).
The tone arm comes in place, and goes back again. The gripper takes the record and puts it back in the magazine.
This happens over and over again.
The CCC only shows the 8vcd light, same thing happens in service mode and i cant choose any selections or anything.
I have ordered the service manual and am awaiting its arrival.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's somewhat "typical" for those, and tough to find. I would first replace the battery in the CCC. Then, while you have the CCC open, check for any "cold solder" (aka "dry") connections on the connector pins. Upon re-installing it, you need to remove each and every pin in the "plugs" and clean and "re-form" each one. If any are dis-colored, you MUST replace it, and the corresponding mate on the CCC (at least clean the mate!). You also will need to do the same to all of the "plugs" on the pricing board, and the keyboard. Also--clear the "memorac",upon start up--Have fun--Ron Rich

Just like Ron says, I would clean(soft wire brush) all of the pin connections in the box and re-solder them(along with what Ron said.. In the CCC, you might need to wash the old foam off also. Disconect the battery too. Is the T motor LED on?, if not it could be a short in that circuit. This could be a step-by-step process...

the Tran-motor light is on , the foam from the back of the CCC has already been removed by someone else and cardboard has been used for the backing.
i will clean all the connector pins and resolder them tomorrow hopefully.
the backup battery is a NEC 5.5V super CAP , only reading 3 v , is this ok to change out with a dual AAA battery holder?( as seen on cdadaptor), or just replace the super CAP?

The battery on the CCC is a 2.4 volt rechargeable cell (Varta make one).
You need to send in your board/boards to a Rowe Ami specialist for testing/repair, in the UK I ask customers to send in the CCC, Mechanism Control and the Pricing Board.
We test all three boards to make sure there are no dry joints (cold joints USA) on the molex connections to the boards has Ron says these are usually a problem. I would say however if you can not solder correctly I would leave well alone and do not start soldering everthing in sight or you will have more problems. I have to spend a longer time repairing these boards once badly soldering has been done.
