I recently acquired a 1969 Magnavox 1P3724 in excellent condition. The radio sounds great, the reception is incredible, and the record player appears to work as well. Unfortunately, it did not come with a needle and I do not know what type of needle it takes. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in locating a needle for the phonograph.
thank you,
Dan

Try
www.garage-a-records.com. They have great resources for finding the exact needle you need. Chances are you just need the Magnavox "flip-style" needle for ceramic cartridges they have at
www.radioshack.com for like $4.99.

Hi, I also have a Magnavox model 1P3724 (the 'Orleans French Provencial'). It takes a Pfanstiehl 557-DS73 (available at
www.garage-a-records.com, and/or at least from two sellers on ebay, that I have both done business with: Needledaddy, and stereoneedleslady (Carol's Needles). Good luck, and hope you get to spinning some records soon!

Cheaper at RadioShack. Remove the screw holding the cartridge and get the number from it. The number may be Magnavox, Electro-Voice and possibly Astatic. Go from there and run with it. Some of the styli are interchangeable.

Go up to the FAQ posting I did back in February about where to find needles. I'm sure you'll find the answer there.

I have a 1966 Astro Sonic mdl# 1rp663 and was wondering if anybody might know where I can get a service manual and owners manual.
It was my Grandmothers and I need to pull it apart and clean it as it must have 1" of dust and cobwebs inside.
It works great but with no issues except for a little scrtchiness on some of the nobs but nothing a little Deoxit won't fix.
I am going to restore this and refinish it as a hobby/project but havce not done anything like this and would prefer to do it with the manuals.
Any help would be appreciated.
