Ease of replacing popularity meter unit on M100C?

I realize that the pop meter has no affect on the enjoyment of the machine, but mine is very worn (numbers missing from the wheels) and completely gummed up, and I'd like, just for own peace of mind, to have this looking nice and working if I can.

I have an option to buy a used one in much better shape, so my questions to the experts are:

How tricky is this replace? Any any tips to approach?

Can I do it so that I only replace the non-yellow bits so I don't worry about paint not matching?

Thanks!

This is the "better" one I could purchase:

You had better look carefully at both meters--if they both have "plastic" (Nylon) wheels, neither. belongs in a C ---Can't envision how it could operate in a C ?? This is pop meter for a V- on up to SMC ?? Ron Rich

Ron, I think its the light/photo - mine looks like nylon too but when I touch it, its metal.

If we assume its correct, any thoughts on my questions?

thanks!
