NRI Buck Passer Model 34-05-004 - Rockola 460

I imagine that there are many Rockola jukeboxes that used the NRI Buck Passer Model 34-05-004. It's a 24 Volts 60 Cycle bill acceptor.

Mine appears to be broken as it doesn't even try to accept a bill. It's plugged in and the rest of the bill acceptor/change unit seems to be working. The bonus switch is set to 2.

My question is--is there a suitable replacement part for this acceptor?

The National Rejectors "Buckpasser" bill acceptor has been obsolete for a long time.

Hamilton Manufacturing does have a replacement for it in their "XE" bill acceptor line. You'd need a 24 volt AC version.

MCM Technology repairs the Buckpasser:

Capital Vending still handles Buckpasser repairs:

I used to have a full Buckpasser service manual, but I threw it away about 15 years ago.

DANG! You're killin' me, Smalls. And... Hi, Ken! :)

Thanks for the links. I did figure out that it's the top PCB causing the issue. I reset the breaker and it was blowing so I unplugged both cables from the PC Boards and plugged them in one at a time. The board that is linked to the larger connector is the problem. If there was a manual I could get the right values for the parts and shotgun repair it.

Thank you for the links though. I will probably call them and get an estimate. Looks like a pretty solid mech if it works...
