I'm new to the whole jukebox repair/restoration thing. I know many of you are rolling your eyes and sighing. I apologize for my lack of knowledge of how these suckers work. My friend and I have been trying to determine how the jukebox works (method) and what the problem is.
Currently, the jukebox will play the selection that we manually select by flipping the toggles. If I add a credit to the machine and make a selection on the keypad, the arm on the silver wheel (Write In?) will move to position but not flip any toggles. I'm assuming, of course, that it is supposed to flip the toggles when the arm stops.
Question #1: Are we assuming correctly that this is the way it should function?
Questions #2: If there is voltage at the coils, is it commonly a coil problem? Are the coils more often the problem in this case?
