WURLITZER 7500 LID and/or HINGES NEEDED

by RussInNY » Fri Aug 01, 2014 7:46 am

I am beginning restoration of a 7500. The cabinet isn't bad, but the machine needs a (mechanism) lid and the hinges. Does anyone have either? If necessary, I can custom-fabricate a lid but would prefer to use original hinges.
I assume the lid is laminated...or is it solid wood? Either way, can anyone identify the wood or the wood-grain (laminate) used for the lid, so if fabrication is necessary, I can select a suitable replacement?

Russ,
IF, I remember right--the hinges on that lid were a "problem" from the start--I think it was a solid wood product, although it could well have been veneered "chip board" ? Didja check with the suppliers listed above--one might just have it in stock ?

Thanks, Ron. I haven't checked suppliers yet but will do so when the restoration project gets a bit more complete. Appreciate the input. - Russ
