Columbia Viva-tonal Model 810

by antiquematt » Fri May 10, 2013 7:13 pm

I am a new member. I have owned a Victor Model 111 for many years. I just acquired a Viva-tonal Model 810 this week at a Thrift Store for $80. That being said, here are the issues. There is severe moisture damage to the cabinet with delamination of the veneer on the underside bottom and bottom 1/3 of the inside structure. It's still a solid cabinet but the horn needs to be re-sealed.
Does anyone have a printing of the motor schematics showing how the Start lever and Speed lever are set-up? Something about this one is strange and it does not have the auto-stop mechanism which I find unusual for this model.

Thanks,
Matt

I own a Viva Tonal 800 and just went through some of those problems with my motor. I especially didn't know how to connect the START lever correctly. If you need some pics let me know. Mine does have a manual stop mechanism. Marc. 951-302-0750
