Seeburg tsa4 new caps-No sound

by southofi-10 » Sun Sep 22, 2013 12:54 am

Just tested my newly recapped seeburg tsa4 amp and I get no sound.
It's getting power because the resistors are warm.
Dang..what could I have don't wrong...(besides put a cap in backwards)

Dono--but,if, you put one in backwards be EXTREEEEEMLY careful, as it can explode with a lot of force--I had a friend that lost an eye that way---Ron Rich

Have you done any dynamic testing?
Are the voltage readings according to the service manual?
How about tracing the audio signal through to find the issue?
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.

No snap,crackle, or pops.
I'm always cautious after working on things like this.
I'm going to do a little testing as Max indicated.Look real close to my connectors and such.
I'll report back what I find...if anything.
I might have put a poly cap on backwards, but I didn't think these were polarized
