Thanks, I think I have it now, both answers are correct! When using two caps of same value, that is the value or C1+C2 divided by 2.

When using two caps of a different value you use C1 times C2 divided by C1 + C2.

A safe margin of difference is plus or minus 20%, therefore these caps are OK.

Ron Rick wrote: "On replacement Lytic caps, the Mfd value must equal or be greater then the original. The "allowable difference" should be 20 %, but not exceed 100% in most cases. "

Based on this, even though C754 100 uF 100 Volts Non-Polarized Lytic is now going to be 89.19uF, that is OK (within 20 +/-) and therefore does not need to be same or higher.

Sadness prevails :( . I replaced C751 470uF 50 Volts, C752 1000uF 50 Volts, C753 10 uF 25 Volts , C754 100 uF 100 Volts Non-Polarized Lytic and C755 0.47uF 250Volts. Same problem with 33 1/3 record being selected, placed on tunrtable and then everything stops. Took transistors Q754 and Q755 out and placed them in a known good working TASU-2 and the Auto Speed Unit worked fine.

Test point A had a reading of 122
Test point Dhad a reading of 48
Test point E had a reading of 36
Test point M had a reading of No Volts
Test point P had a reading of No Volts

Here is a link for the TASU-2

Anyone have an idea where I am losing the voltage or what steps I should take to get this TASU-2 operating?

Thnk you
Darrell
