I have had this stereo for years,my dad bought it for my mom in 67,I still
got the receipt,the books,new diamond stylus extra needle.I use it for a piece of good looking furniture,real shinny.It still sounds pretty good,the turntable
works,am fm st,afc.has the 45 attachments.It has big 15 in woofers and a
big horn type tweeters.I can remember my mom dancing with her friends
when I was little.Nobody was allowed in the living room,probably why it has
no scratches on it.I wonder what it is worth?

Location, location, location.....I've never paid more than $50 bucks for these beasts and I have at least 8 of them, most of them hovering around that 1966-68 vintage. People have downsized so much nowadays, and don't have the room for these units. All my extras are stacked on ends in my spare bedroom until I get a larger place. They are truly marvelous instruments and their sound is pleasantly "different" from the other (yeah, I got about six other consoles) brands. I have no problem giving away my other consoles, at the cost of a new needle and/or cartridge, but I hold on to those Maggies.

I agree with Bobby. The units overall don't seem to go for more than he said, however some have made more by parting them out. That is not something I like to see since these are very good units. They just don't fit in with todays minimal-cost more sets.
The one funny thing about todays choices is that people buy smaller stereos, and then purchase huge cabinets or armoires(?) to house them.
Keep the Maggie, you can still hook a CD/DVD player up and you will be amazed at the sound from the unit. The older sets can produce wonderful sound with todays digital products.
You probably have an amp in it that is rated at @145 watts total power. The older stereos could produce far more volume and reproduce the same sound with very little wattage used. They are far more efficient in terms of wattage to volume in my opinion. Shine her up and she'll keep performing!
