I was in Central Illinois last week, and saw just the case, with the turntable and motor for a Harvard Disc Talking Machine, it is $ 600.00. I did not buy it, I am not familiar with the brand and there was no arm, horn or reproducer. Did I pass up a deal? The machine has a scroll decal best I remember it.

Oldtime,

Harvard Disc Talking Machines were sold by Sear, Roebuck & Co. in the very earliest years of the 1900's before switching over to the Oxford then Silvertone brand names IIRC. I'm not sure who manufactured them, Columbia possibly. As far as value-I wouldn't hazard a guess. Did it look like a front-mount machine?

Regards,
J.
