Rock-Ola 440 plays too slow

by barbro_e » Sat Apr 21, 2007 2:55 pm

I have recently bought a Rock-Ola 440 -69. At first it worked out just fine, but after a couple of days it started to play the records at wrong speed - too slow. Somebody

Two possibilities:

- The rubber drive wheel has hardened, and needs replacing or rejuvenation. I use Caig CaiKleen RBR to rejuvenate wheels.

- The turntable center bearing, idler wheel bearing, jockey arm bearings, or motor bearings are dried out,. Clean and oil them.
