Hi-
I have a new problem with my Seeburg DS 160. When playing a record- it will start out OK, but then it becomes muddy at the end. This happened after installed a new set of stylii from needlesforjukeboxes (quick shipping by the way!), and it starts out OK (not great) and ends up really bad. I should note that I do not have the ear speakers, so some of the muddiness may simply be a lack of tweeter.
Something tells me this is a mechanical, and not electronic issue because it happens with every record I play. I 'think' it might be as simple as adjusting the tone arm tension, but wanted to see if there are any suggestions before I mess with that and potentially make things worse.
I also installed a new drive bushing (or whatever the rubber drive shaft is called) to address a low rumble that comes on during play. It doesn't seem to have made much of a difference.
I looked through the troubleshooting manual, and didn't see this listed and haven't found anything on this site with a search.
Thanks,
RJ
