Hi

I just started looking at this juke box. Two imediate problems are:

1. The mechanism wants to play each and every slot? How would one remedy this isuue?

2. When the clutch is engaged changing records there is no noise, when the clutch goes into idle there is a sound like a rattle? What may be causing this & how might it be corrected?

Thank you for any and all ideas.

Best
Darrell

Hi Darrell,
Clean the Tormat RCA plug--tighten the "ring" of that plug, make sure the two wires are well soldered to it--
Not sure what you are saying "rattles", nor what you mean by "idle" ? Oil problems maybe ???

Hey Ron

Tightened RCA plug and problem 1 is resolved I believe. Will need to do further testing to know for sure.

Another way to describe problem two would be to say there is a noise coming from area of turnrable that sounds like a bearing that is dry may sound?

Thanks for help.

Best
Darrell

Darrell,
That's what I assumed--and why the "oil" comment--

Darrell, here is a lube chart:

Use a clean 20wt oil and pay particular to both the clutch assembly and the top bearing above the motor shaft. I often remove the tall bearing and put oil in the sleeve and shaft.
