rockola write in carriage adjustment

I finally got my write in carriage to put proper pin in play position. Now the carriage trips the right pin but then carries on past to the next pin where it stops Although the right pin is selected, I can see this as being an issue. I read and attempted to follow the adjustment in the manual but the carriage doesn't seem to be moving. Anyone have any tips on how to adjust this or why it just seemed to start?

Hi
Only a guess when you had the chassis out of the machine did you dismantle the write in read out arms and wobble plate, maybe the write in arm is not fully tightly in . Those small hex screws are hard to loosen and tighten

Hi Ed,
I am not quit sure I understand what you are saying---?
Are you saying the WI motor stops, pin is hammered, and then the motor moves the carriage further on ?

No, its like the WI is moving too fast. It selects the correct pin but comes to rest centered over the next pin. This is all in one motion. It is as if whatever tells it to stop us slightly late.

Ed,
?? How is it "pushing the correct pin" ?? Did you properly, OIL the WI motor--that motor uses a "fly clutch" that should instantly cause the armature to retract from the gearbox, the instant the power is removed--I'm GUESSING that this is not happening ?? Ron Rich

Ron,
I'm not sure how it is either. But it sure slaps it as it goes by and stops just past. Ill work on oilng that motor. Interesting though, per before I had the index issues, this never happened. But to be fair, I have been burning that motor up testing. Thanks for the suggestions.
Clones, yes I dismantled the selector but not the WI. I'll double check to make sure she's are all tight.

Ed, Whatever you do--do NOT dis-assemble the WI motor--almost impossible to re-align !!

I oiled the WI motor and that seems to have fixed the "stopping to late" issue. Thanks for the advice.
