Hi,
I am a collector of many things (soda machines, matchbooks, vinyl records, stamps, coins, etc.), but I recently acquired my first jukebox. It is a Wurlitzer 3600. Nice clean original IMO (pics attached).
I got a S&P manual off the web and it has helped me out immensely. I've broken down and refurbished the Tone Arm, Turntable and Overide Switch Assembly - working my nerve up for some other assemblies. The machine cycles through the selections and returns "Home" after the last selection plays; however, it always skips over the first 1/4" of the 45. I have the lift adjusted correctly at 1", the feed-in set at 3&11/32", but it drops and rides to the left every time! I do not have a gram scale to properly set the tone arm - are they for sale somewhere? I have adjusted the balance weights to each extreme and in-between, but it still skips. I've ordered a new stylus, but don't have it yet. Will a new stylus correct my issue? BTW - I noticed that the stylus that is in there can be flipped over with a needle on each side. Is there a difference between the two?
Secondly, how can I remove the record carousel? The manual gives no instruction for it's removal. I've lightly tugged at a few things , but don't want to break something.
Thank you in advance for any insight.
