Seeburg 100C-Selector problem

by Tonydiato » Mon Jun 23, 2008 3:01 am

I have a Seeburg C. When I select 1 song it will pick up the record then stop. If i select another song, the mechanism will begin to spin and play the record. I other words there always has to be more then one song selected in order the a record to play. What is the problem?

email tonydiato@yahoo.com with answer.

Thanks

Tony,
Most likely--the "D" contacts are not making for some reason.

I have 2 Seeburgs. I put the other amp in the unit..and it still does the same thing. So I dont think its the D connectors. Any other suggestions?

Tony,
You got me? The "AMP" should have nothing to do with the motor! Ron Rich

Tony;

Ron means the 'D' switch contacts on the mechanism.

Debra,
Are you attempting to say that at the end of the record (record is spinning on turntable), it won't return to the record rack ? If so, try using the record cancel button on the rear of the cabinet. If that returns the record, the usual cause will be a broken wire on the end or record cut-off (aka "trip") switch. If that rear switch does not work, that switch could be un-plugged, or your "V" contacts are not making on the mechanism. Ron Rich
