Still waiting for your epistle on phasing. Since mine was "ridiculous". When you say one opinion is ridiculous, one generally follows with what they believe is a superior opinion. As far as the internet...I hate to be the one to break the news but it isn't a joke. It isn't a fad and all the information out there isn't wrong. More knowledge is shared on the internet in a second than all the classrooms in "Technical Schools" combined. Also, those teachers in those schools...they have opinions too. Probably got a lot of it off the internet. (unless they are too old to use a computer) So did the guy that wrote the books. There are few absolutes in this world. Now...let's discuss phasing.

Because you've got an attitude, and your post above about internet information has nothing to do with the factual origins of physics or electronics theory.
And I never stated an "opinion" of any kind, because I cannot change what is a proven fact written and taught through the ages.
You apparently sound a lot younger than me (62) and trust me, I've dealt with plenty of young whippersnappers before, so do yourself a favor, if you've got information to share across the internet, at least provide it from reliable fact-based sources, and not some opinionated or slanted website blog.
Because I'd give much more credit towards "teachers" that learned from Old School textbooks than someone that weened their learnings solely off the internet.

Now, enough of this.
Lest I entertain myself by leafing through your other threads for mistaken information to correct.

Basic question #74: Presume it's ok for me to try (test phasing, etc) with my new tweeter and crossover with the existing (non-original) woofer?

Then once I get the original speaker, I simply revert to an original build amp (i.e. without the mods)

Yes, that is fine. The current woofer will likely have a different efficiency and bass response, so the tonal balance will likely change when the original type woofer is installed.
