Motor mounts!? Are you talking about the three bolts that attach it to the frame? This noise sounds more like a scape. It wasn't making it before and it took 2 minutes of running it before it started making it. About once every 15 seconds.

Motor should be suspended on three white grommets--see the parts book---on some models, they are held in place with spacers, and a screw, while other models have a post on the frame, and require an "E" clip/washer to retain the grommet.
Scraping noise--from the motor, idler, or turntable ?? Ron Rich

The motor wasn't mounted to the jukebox-- just plugged in. The gear was turning fine, but the noise was coming from inside the casing. I'm going to take it apart again. Something is probably out of balance.

You guys are getting each other confused. Ignignokt is referring to the magazine motor and Ron is referring to the turntable motor.

Mesa back! It's been too cold to operate the jukebox, but I built a fire and got it warm enough. I have a video of the vibration/noise coming from the magazine motor. It may be normal, but I don't think so. You can hear it best at the end of the video:

I also bought a Seeburg DS160H today, but I'm not going to try to mess with it it until the Rock-Ola's working correctly. I mainly bought the Seeburg for the 45's inside (It was $50). It had an excellent selection of 50's and 60's hits. Supposedly the amp is good on it, but the selector doesn't move. When I opened it up I could see why.. There's no signs of lubrication anywhere. It's bone dry.

I just had a Christmas Miracle happen! I haven't been able to spend any time with the Rock-Ola since my last post so I finally was able to put the magazine motor back on today. I hit the scan lever to make sure the motor was installed correctly and ran it for a couple of minutes to make sure the breaker wouldn't trip and then moved it to the on position. I guess one of the selection levers was still up because the read-out hit it and the gripper went into action-- as did the hammer coils. I couldn't believe it!!! So I entered some more selections and waited. It played them all and cancelled each one correctly. I haven't had time to test the voltages yet, but the other possibility must be Baby Jesus or elves... :D

PS i don't believe in elves...
