Phononewbie here

I recently got my hands on one of these. I really like it, its a beautiful piece and it works well. My favorite thing about it is that it has an RCA input labeled as "Tape" but I use it to plug my Apple Airport Express

Couple of questions: what kind of needles does this take? any specific model I should stick to? I just dont want to buy the wrong thing on ebay... the other question is, what is the value of this piece? I dont plan on selling it, but I'm definitely curious to know.
