Recently I discovered a very old record player/recorder in the attic of my house, unfortunately, I have been unable to find any information about it. I'm not even sure how old it is, although it is definitely pre -1970's. If anyone has any information, or knows where I could look (and actually find information) about a Bell Sound System , Record-O-Fone, please let me know. Any and all help/suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Most phonograph recorders come from the 1930s and 1940s - before tape became available in this country.

I have another Bell Sound System Record-O-Fone, Model RG-36. I have struck out completely in finding anything about this on the Web.

I have 3 photos, but cannot upload them. I have them on Picasa:

I have memories of my mother playing the piano and recording on this in the mid 50's. In fact, I think I even have somewhere a 78 of my grandmother singing into it as well. Been in the family for ages, but it's time for it to go.

Anything anybody can tell me about this would be very, very much appreciated !!
