Rockola 442 problem

I have a Rockola 442 that is having a problem. At some point at the end of a record the pick up arm and the arm with the needle in it clashed and jammed. After I unjammed them the needle arm does not seem to flow freely. It plays the same line on the record over and over. There seems to be resistence in the needle arm. I removed the needle arm from the brass cradle nut oiled it but it did not seem to help. Can anyone help
