Actually, it's British! Heres a link to one that was on ebay a few months ago. The transfer says "All British", and it appears to use a garrard motor etc. The soundbox looks very much like a Goldring, except it's enscribed Yagerphone. This could have been done for Yagerphone by goldring though. According to the listing, the company folded in 1935.
