M100C Pickup Arm Frame Assembly Removal

Is there anything complicated about removal of this unit? What's the step-by-step procedure for removal? There are only 3 screws that attach the unit to the main frame, but are there any other attachment points, like springs, that would complicate its removal for a thorough cleaning? The exploded view in the manual shows all the parts but does not show if it is attached somewhere else, except for the 3 screws at the frame.
Thanks,
Steve.

Steve,
There is a "longer version" of this with photo, in my "Seeburg Mechanism Guide"
Other then the wires, and brake cam/spring (do NOT stretch any more then needed), there is nothing else--the RH spring holder must be "maneuvered" past the dash-pot, which is slightly "tricky".
int, upon re-installing the sub assembly--hold a slight upwards pressure on the unit as you tighten the three screws. Ron Rich

Thanks Ron, but the last line of your response appears to be missing some text. It starts with "int, upon...". Could you please confirm that sentence.
Thank you, Steve.

Steve,
You are welcome. My key board on this computer is getting old--it "misses" if I don't push down hard enough--it just missed a "H"--that word is "Hint"

Hi Ron,
The pickup arm assembly came out just as you described, including the "tricky" maneuver to clear the spring. It definitely needed servicing! And thanks for the reassembly hint to hold upward pressure as the screws are tightened. Everything lined up fine.

I have an unrelated question about the ES8-L6 electrical selector. I removed the unit for cleaning and found that a couple of parts were missing. According to the schematic there should be a total plays counter and counter solenoid assembly. I have the bracket and counter solenoid, but no solenoid plunger, linkage, or play counter. Was this assembly an "option" or do you think it was removed at some point. Is there any harm in leaving in the solenoid even though it does not have a functioning plunger.

Thanks Ron,
Steve.

Hi Steve,
Glad that it worked out well for you--
The playcounter is commonly "mangled" in these things, why ?, I dono, but there is no harm in leaving the coil, or removing it--either way's OK.
